The drawing, formerly the property of the Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II (who appointed Sadeler Imperial Printmaker) is currently in the Albertina Museum in Vienna, along with many other works formerly belonging to Rudolf II. The infant Jesus holds a bird, a symbol of his Passion to come. St. Joseph can be seen at right with a stork.
